![]() Publishers and developers across the industry are rushing to port their games to Nintendo's smash hit console, and Blizzard's only real candidates are Hearthstone and Diablo 3, the former of which isn't happening right away but could still sometime in the future. I'm going to call this one eminently believable, both because of Eurogamer's track record and because a Switch port for Diablo 3 would just make a lot of sense. We've contacted Blizzard for comment and will update if we hear anything back, but don't expect anything: Blizzard seems to be playing this one close to the chest, either at Nintendo's behest or of its own volition. Local co-op options are much rarer nowadays than they were years ago, so if anything, it's a surprise when a game actually releases with local co-op and multiplayer options. Now, a report from Eurogamer cites anonymous sources saying that yes, Diablo 3 is, in fact, coming to the Nintendo Switch. However, it's not really all that surprising. This is definitely disappointing to fans who enjoyed Diablo 3's local co-op and were hoping to play local co-op with their friends and family. RELATED: Twitch Streamer Asmongold Criticizes Diablo 2: Resurrected Amazon Changes Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Blizzard decided to release Diablo 2: Resurrected with online co-op and multiplayer options only. Indeed, Diablo 3 has local co-op, so one could be forgiven for assuming that Diablo 2: Resurrected would have local co-op as well. ![]() ![]() Various social media forum posts indicate that there are quite a few Diablo 2: Resurrected players who did not realize that the game didn't have local co-op options. ![]() However, there is one feature Diablo 2 doesn't have that has definitely left some fans disappointed. Diablo 2: Resurrected has had some connection issues at launch and other technical problems, but otherwise things seem to have gone fairly smooth, with the game earning mostly positive reviews from critics. Diablo 2: Resurrected is out now, giving fans the chance to relive the award-winning Diablo 2 with a fresh coat of paint. ![]() ![]() "Paradox is a good match for us both culturally and games-wise.
